Whimsy, romance and comfort is what you’ll experience as a guest of the Charles Nelson Guest House Bed & Breakfast!

Charles Nelson Guest House is 1 of 6 B&B’s in the Ocean Park area!

When Charlie and Denna fell in love and married, they sat down with a Sears and Roebuck Catalog to order the home that they would share for a lifetime. Now you can stay in the home where they shared decades of memories and maybe make a few of your own. Enjoy one of three 2nd floor rooms, each with a private bath. Freshly pressed sheets, soft robes and thirsty towels are here for your comfort. A full breakfast, including fresh seasonal fruit and homemade scones or muffins is served each morning at 9:00.

Originally purchased from a 1920’s era Sears & Roebuck catalog, our beautifully restored bed and breakfast sits in the heart of the Long Beach Peninsula. On the edge of Ocean Park and just within the boundaries of Nahcotta, our inn overlooks Willapa Bay and the Wildlife Refuge of Long Island. Seven miles to the North you will find Leadbetter Point Wildlife Refuge, home to bear, deer and many varieties of birds. Hiking trails lead to the ocean beach and the bay. Historic Oysterville is easily within biking distance. The Oysterville school house still stands and is the site of the Jazz and Oyster Festival held each August. Many weddings and Sunday vespers are held in the beautifully preserved Oysterville church.

Once settled in your spacious room, you may see Bald Eagles fishing for their morning meal, or deer grazing in the field in front of our home. Osprey and Great Blue Heron frequently fly overhead.

Spend your afternoons on the back deck watching the koi and goldfish swimming in the pond or watch the many varieties of wild birds that eat at the feeders that fill the yard. Read a magazine in one of the hammocks or just take a nap. In the evening, you may enjoy roasting marshmallows over the fire pit in the backyard. Walk a short distance into the center of Nahcotta and purchase fresh oysters to grill for your dinner.

Your days will be full. Bring your bike and tour the Peninsula, bring your kayak for a day trip to Long Island. Bring your camera and borrow one of our birding books to enjoy the birds. Hike to Cape Disappointment or North Head Lighthouse. Tour the newly renovated Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center or Fort Canby. Visit our World Kite museum were they frequently have kite-making classes. The Port of Ilwaco has fishing vessels available for charter. Watch for whales as they migrate past the 28 miles of beach in the spring and fall. Go beachcombing for treasures or borrow one of Curt’s kites to fly.
